Hello Gorgeous people,

It’s December, yay!!! my best month of the year for some reason I am yet to know. It probably has something to do with sales, Christmas, sales, the build up to the new year, sales. Oh did I mention sales multiple times?

I was going to travel to Ghana this month but so much stuff came up and is coming up so that plan is on the back burner for now. Ghana is literally next door but somehow, I have never been there. If you know of great places to visit or stay at in Ghana, please let me know.

My resolution for 2014 was to blog more and travel to a new country. I think I have somewhat improved in my blogging. Travelling to a new country this year has been challenging so I’ll keep it as my 2015 resolution and work harder at it.

There are a couple of amazing events lined up for December ,my next post will be on these events. If you are reading this and know of fun, upcoming events this month, kindly comment above (the tiny comment thing close to the title of this post).

I do not want to jinx it but I feel like December 2014 is going to be awesome. I just have that feeling in the pit of my tummy, let’s call it merriness.

My look:
Clothes-
I wore this to attend an education exhibition on a Saturday. I wanted a look that was fun and flirty.
I got my skirt from Debras Grace (DGL), a store on Herbert Macauley Street Yaba, it came as a set- cropped top+skirt for about NGN5,500
The vest, I got from asos a couple of weeks ago for 5 pounds, click here and here for similar options as the exact shade I have is sold out. The sandals I got from HouseOfDebola on sale for NGN2500, aren’t they just the cutest?
#ThePinBargain

Lipstick-
This is my favourite shade of lipstick for now, Bobbi Brown ‘Soft Rose’.

Hair-
a number of people asked about my hair. I did a wash and set at the salon, that is shampoo+conditioner+hair moisturiser+ setting lotion+ rollers. I did not use heat. I took the rollers home, kept them on overnight and took them off in the morning. Perfect curls,Voila! I should probably buy a set of rollers to avoid annoying my hairdresser.
I honestly look forward to hearing from my readers.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Merry December.

Hello Beautiful People,

I finally got around to taking pictures, YAY!!! after loosing my pictures when my laptop crashed. I did a mini shoot for everyday of my birthday marathon. Thank God for tripod stands and younger brothers. My Birthday was on Friday, so I did a marathon from Wednesday- Sunday. This was my Thursday look, wore this for Brunch, Dinner and a bit of site seeing. I have fallen in-love with my Maju handbag and my gold River Island court heels, I wore those two pieces almost throughout the week.

I ordered the dress and shoes from the official River Island website, click here to find out more on River Island deliveries to Nigeria.

Which hair do you prefer- the high bun/ponytail or the weave?

Gems of the week

July 24, 2014 § 10 Comments

Hello Posh International Nigerians,

I had a hell-ish week, last week. Monday morning started with the craziest taxi driver, followed by a long day of data collection and being screamed at by a nurse. Thankfully, there was no traffic on my way home.

On tuesday, I realised by crashing my hard drive, I had lost all my pictures. Remind me to always back up pictures. Squabble with the brother on Wednesday, Ordered a dress off a vendor on Instagram, this vendor turned out to be extremely rude, unreliable and the spawn of the devil…she sent me a different colour of the dress I ordered, at first she would not accept a return, then she insisted I pay her more than half the cost of the dress for ‘shipping costs’ and delivery…do I continue? I found these gems and they managed to cheer me up.  I couldn’t get a front picture of the shoes but the pictures are available on the website/link. Please let me know what you think about the pieces. Have a great long weekend.

Weekend Denim

Hello Beautiful People,
I have been a terrible blogger for the past week ,the excuse: my phone broke and laptop broke. Hopefully, I will be better this week.
Apparently, there are lots of events and festivals coming up in Lagos this month. I decided to put up a weekend look.

I went with boyfriend jeans because they are super comfortable and breathable, when compared to skinny jeans…need I say more? There’s also a choice of bags- The Big black one would be for gals that love their stuff -moisturisers, hand creams, sanitizer, makeup. The darker purse is a relatively medium bag for gals that like some stuff, It can also be worn on a casual friday at work. The cream clutch is for night-time, turning this look into a day-to-night look. Lipstick, car keys, wallet, loose powder and you are good to go. The bright shoes add some colour to this outfit.

Fashion tip: Carry a bag that is relative to your size. Petite women should not carry huge bags as the huge bags make them look even smaller and big/tall women should stick to bigger bags, as tiny bags will just make them look bigger.
All items can be gotten on the asos website and can be delivered to Nigeria, free shipping with orders over £15  and £3 delivery cost with orders below £15 . What bag do you prefer? I would love to hear from you, please let me know what you think.
weekend fun

lookfantastic.com review

Hello Beautiful People,

A couple of  months ago, I ordered 3 products from www.lookfantastic.com.

It took about a month to get to me but everything was neatly packed in one box and I didn’t have to pay delivery costs as they offer free worldwide shipping. I picked up my order from the nearest post office and wasn’t charged a kobo. I think that was because of the post office I picked my order up from, some post offices charge a fee for international package pick-up’s.

Look Fantastic has a number of hair and beauty brands under them e.g Loreal, Dermalogica, Nuxe, GHD, GlamGlow, AlphaH, Dr. Murad, Benefit etc.

They usually have a lot of voucher codes and discouts, so if you are a hair and beauty enthusiast, it’s advisable to check their website regularly or subscribe for their newsletter and e-mails.

Below are pictures of my order. I  think I’ll be ordering the Alpha-H Liquid Gold, The Alpha-H sunscreen spf50+ and the GlamGlowMud Mask, I’ve heard these products are wonder working but I am yet to try them.

Have a great day.

Heels.com.ng order

May 21, 2014 § 2 Comments

Hello Beautiful People,

I ordered from heels.com.ng a while back and absolutely loved it, so I decided to write a review/recommendation.

I placed my order pretty late at night and received my package the next day. I paid on delivery.

I absolutely loved the packaging, you could see that thought had been put into the entire process. The box and goody bag did not look cheap. The shoes had that ‘new shoe’ smell and I was quite impressed that the Vince Camuto’s I ordered had the original paper wrapping. I loved that I was provided with sheer stockings to put on before I tried on my shoes. I get worried sometimes about trying shoes, more often than not I imagine that a stranger with athlete’s foot tried them on before I did.

Did I forget to mention there was a rather cute note in my goody bag. They also seem to have sales/promotions running a lot of the time, which is great.

Will I be ordering from heels.com.ng again?….YES!!!

Have a lovely week.

The PIN.
